Guild Bank Suggestion I’d like to suggest an improvement to the ESO Guild Bank permission system that could give Guild Masters and officers much better control over how bank resources are accessed. At the moment, Guild Bank permissions are fairly broad: a rank either has permission to withdraw from the bank or it does not. For larger guilds, especially guilds that actively stock crafting materials, consumables, equipment, furnishing materials, recipes and upgrade materials, this can make managing the bank unnecessarily difficult. It would be extremely useful if Guild Bank permissions could be tied more closely to Guild Rank, with Guild Masters able to define what members of each rank are allowed to withdraw. Because ESO has one large Guild Bank rather than separate bank tabs, the permissions could potentially be based on several different criteria: Quantity: A rank could be allowed to withdraw a certain number of items or stacks within a set period. Item quality: Permissions could allow withdrawal of white, green, blue, purple or gold-quality items depending on rank. Item category: Guild Masters could decide which types of items a rank may withdraw, such as food, drinks, potions, poisons, glyphs, raw materials, refined materials, upgrade materials, weapons, armour, furnishings, recipes, motifs, etc. Combined permissions: These options could work together. For example, a newer guild member might be allowed to withdraw basic consumables and common crafting materials, while higher-ranked members could access rarer materials and expensive upgrade items. As an example, a guild could configure its ranks something like this: Recruit: Deposit items and gold, but no withdrawals. Member: Withdraw a limited number of food, drinks, potions, glyphs and common crafting materials. Veteran: Higher withdrawal allowance, with access to blue and purple-quality items and more valuable crafting materials. Officer: Access to most Guild Bank items, including upgrade materials and higher-value equipment. Guild Master: Full access. Obviously, every guild is different, so the important part would be allowing the Guild Master to decide which restrictions apply to each rank rather than having predetermined rules. This could also help address one of the long-standing concerns with Guild Banks: bank theft or excessive withdrawals. Guild Masters are often forced to choose between giving members useful access to the Guild Bank or restricting withdrawals almost completely because one person can potentially remove a large quantity of valuable items. More granular permissions would allow guilds to make their banks genuinely useful to members while still protecting expensive or difficult-to-replace resources. It could also make guild ranks more meaningful. Promotion within a guild could gradually provide greater Guild Bank privileges, giving members another practical benefit for earning the trust of the guild. Ideally, these controls would be optional. Guilds that are happy with the current system could continue using broad deposit/withdraw permissions, while guilds wanting more detailed management could enable additional restrictions. ESO already gives Guild Masters a great deal of flexibility when creating ranks and assigning permissions. Extending that philosophy to the Guild Bank would, in my opinion, be a very useful quality-of-life improvement for both small and large guilds. Thanks for considering it.
