- We founded Klick Labs to explore and showcase how new technologies could impact our business and that of our clients. The lab quickly turned into a new practice incubator, helping start our Veeva, SciViz and VR-AR capabilities. The lab's core capability is the combination of research methodology with creativity to design rigorous solutions to problems facing the healthcare and life sciences industries. This often takes the form of rapidly-created prototypes, Such as SymPulse and HealthVoyager. We have integrated our data science and labs teams with medical and behavioral scientists to supercharge our ability to do science at the speed of business.

- Asthma is a disease that has exacerbations that are unpredictable in nature. We wanted to see if we could design a device that allows the patient to anticipate and predict those exacerbation. So for this, we had to create a completely new type of spirometer that measures air flow, temperature and CO2 with no restriction. So we designed it and we built it in four weeks. And it's entirely made of corn-based plastic. This is fully biodegradable and fully environmentally friendly. In type 2 diabetes, the body's glucose control mechanism doesn't work very well. We wanted to identify if we can quantify how different somebody's glucose control system is from baseline. We developed for this, a mathematical model of what normal glucose homeostasis is. With that model, we can derive the difference between someone's glucose system and baseline. This is leading us to a second study we're designing right now to identify a predictive biomarker of type 2 diabetes.
